How long have you been doing CrossFit? 5 years.

Why did you start CrossFit? I was a fitness manager for the recreation center at Stephen F. Austin State University. Part of my job was to host job fairs, and line up Group Fitness instructor potentials. At a job fair I encountered an individual who had their CrossFit L1. Hired the instructor and began my first dose of CrossFit shortly after. I've loved the challenge it presents every since.

How long have you been coaching? I've worked one-on-one with clients for the past few years utilizing the CrossFit methodology, and have been coaching classes for nearly a year.

What made you decide that you wanted to coach? I love helping people accomplish tasks they didn't know they were capable of doing. Getting the chance to help improve peoples lives, health, and general wellbeing is indescribably rewarding.

What are your certifications? AFAA Group Fitness, AFAA Kickboxing, CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Level 2, Pre-Precision Nutrition Level 1

My favorite movement is: Snatch!

If I could create a WOD it would look like: A spicy little couplet with a traditional CrossFit repetition scheme.. 21-15-9, Power snatches (115/75), Box Jumps

Something you might not know about me is: I'm a strong believer in "practice what you preach", in my free time I love to read, I nerd out on exercise psychology topics, I have a strong history of working with pregnant women (during and postpartum), I'm a self proclaimed 'self-improvement book obsessor'.
